Initial Ideas

Environment and Style Mood board

After brainstorming some ideas on the topic: Portraiture, I did some research on different style and environment that I am interested in. This is because this project is heavily environment based with the green screen technique as the main part of the project. The references came from a wide ranges of media, from music videos to movies to illustration, however I noticed that all the environments in the mood board had skies as the focal point. Therefore when moving onto deciding on an idea, I narrowed down on the night sky as the environment as it fits in nicely with other themes that I came up with.

Rough Storyboard

For the shooting schedule, I re-organised and redrew the rough storyboard in order to made the flow of the story more clear. The comments from the discussion in class helped me identify the problem within the plot and scenes of my storyboard.

Mood board for building the environment

When I began thinking about the environment and creating the photobash for it, I realised that my ideas are still very vague and lacking in purpose. Hence I made a mood board and when I was searching and comparing different hills and cliff, I was able to get a better understanding of what type of environment will complement my story and message the best.
