Week 17 : Concept Development/ Test Shoots
Above is a page I made to organise and solidify some ideas I discussed with my teammate. I used the notes, I jotted down while talking to her to do further research on the different artists’ work and their deeper meaning that she had selected. This is to not narrow down on ideas too soon as well as try to incorporate each other ideas.
We ended the discussion with an idea about using repetition of lanterns from Yayoi Kusama’s “Aftermath of Obliteration of Eternity” while staying open to other possible ideas and components that could be added. Along with that we also talked about the possibility of having a night cityscape environment as the background as it would highlight the lanterns. Therefore, I went out to shoot some cityscape footage as a test shoot, in order to get some feedback from the tutors for our ideas.
I had also made some concept thumbnails to narrow down my thought on our idea and to solidify our ideas.
