IPP: Week 1 & 2

WEEK 1

In week 1, we decided on the group for the creative consciences project. The topic that we had chosen is “How to promote self-love and help people who struggle with mental health.”

After that we met online again to discuss and expand on our topic, by the end of the meeting, we realised that we would focus more on the topic: self-love. This is because we feel that it is a topic that we can handle better than mental health and that it would benefit our project better in terms of delivery and being concise.

WEEK 2

Above is the start of our production blueprint, where we noted down what we had discussed and decided on after the meeting. We then divided the work according to who came up with which idea and our skill set. I had suggested that we make the background of each scene in nuke by creating a 2.D environment. This way there is a contrast between the 2D character and its 3D background, showing the character’s insecurity of not belonging anywhere or experiencing a different world to others. This is why for this project, I will be working on the environment aspects while also giving each other feedback and suggestions every time we review our progress.
